Local maker Edward VanZyl, of D3D, is tackling 3D printed autoparts too.
D3D is doing fantastic things with 3D scanning, and printing, including helping auto enthusiasts getting their rides up to snuff again.
Being able to scan and print parts for hard to get, or expensive car parts / accessories is fanatastic. As you may have read in an ealier post, some manufacturers are even starting to encourage local makers by opening up their designs. Aside from cost, and the environmental benefits (see our mission info) , there is also the opportunity to tailor and improve parts when needed.
When you can’t easily find or afford a part, or need to have it slightly modified, but still look as oem as possible, D3D can help. The results are amazing.
Additional coatings and finishes can be applied to get that dash, door panel, or console looking like new.
