A golfing buddy of mine heard about some of the things we were doing at EIB3D, and asked if we could fix an old tripod that a friend of his had. The friend wasn’t able to get parts for this older tripod, but thought it should still be useful with functioning legs. After a few questions, and some additional sussing out, I suggested that it was a high probability that we could. He brought it to the golf course the following week. As it turns out, it wasn’t too hard to model the replacement joint needed to re-attach the legs. From initial fitment and feedback, it turned out well. We even printed him some spares. Just another landfill avoidance project from your friendly neighborhood 3D print community 🙂 .
