The folks at Dreamworks 3D have been doing some amazing things. Now they are stepping up on a VLP (very large printer build) We will post periodic progress but this is a local project that promises to be intersting and hopefully very usable.

Some thought needs to be given to building these large printers as they can be a little trickier from an engineering stand point to be solid, reliable, affordable performers. I think the D3D crew are up to the task though. Check out the size of some of the gear they are throwing at this bad boy;

Doesn’t hurt that one of the other featured projects that we are involved in may need a VLP for getting a really cool electrified cover pedal trike on the road.
